SUSTAINABLE VASEs                         

VASES # 10 & 11 • LOT # 1 

Our Functional art project of sustainable glassware is bridging the mindset of Scandinavian design with the exclusive handcraft of Italian artisans. Each of these vases has been mouth-blown into stacks of raw firewood, which has given every vase an organic shape, -leaving the individual drawings of the wood structures into the glass. As the organic wood-mould burns, due to the extremely warm glass blown into it, the vases change their shape each time, leaving every vase with its own form and signature. Each of these uniquely handcrafted vases has been solely made by collected recycled melted glass, from a furnace, mainly run by solar energy.

This exclusive glassware project has been designed by Gry Nissen, and carefully handcrafted in Collaboration with Nadia and her Italian team of glassblowers.
